I am doing much better now, in case any of you were wondering. But if someone doesn't get Lucille away from me, she might not be. Older sisters are such pains.
My niece has drawn several pictures for me. Most of them are of spiders - or her idea of what a spider should look like. I told her what I do for a living, and the spider part really stuck. I think it's supposed to help me feel better? At least that's what it says next to the spider, 'Get well soon.' I'm very glad these spiders are only in her imagination. They look a lot more frightening than the real thing. |

I apologize for anyone I may have snapped at while working today. I had a very bad morning. I do not apologize for anyone I may have snapped at before work. If I snapped at anyone before work it was probably because they deserved it. And that is all I am going to write about that. |

Sayonara roommate and man who drinks the orange juice from the carton! Guess who just got her own place! I love it, and Digby does too - but the place is almost empty, and that feels weird. That simply will not do. PRUDENCE, we need to go shopping and decorating and all that fun stuff! |

keep•sake
noun - a small item kept in memory of the person who gave it or originally owned it. That is my word of the day! I know it's not an uncommon word, but I still think it's an important one. I've had a lot more free time on my hands which gives a person more time to think, but the more time I think the more I think about - oh no one wants to be reminded of that. So I've been spending the day looking through the dictionary. That is about as much as I can do. That is all I have to read. Who gives someone a DICTIONARY? D.C.I. Wolfe, that's who! What am I supposed to do with a dictionary? Really! |

Olive and I had such a lovely time looking at new flats this weekend! Not for me though, for her. I wish I had the money to move! Sometimes I wish I didn't work where I do, and I could afford to live by myself so I didn't have to deal with messy roommates. Life's never that simple though. Lucy, who I share a flat with, doesn't do the dishes, she leaves her laundry everywhere, she forgets to get the groceries - yes, the list does go on and on. The thing I dislike most about my roommate is her very loud, very rude boyfriend. I don't get along with him very well, and I get along with everyone! I started making a list of all the things he does that bothers me! Like okay, yesterday I saw him drink straight from the carton of orange juice, and well I have done that before, but it's my orange juice so I'm allowed to do that. And I don't know where his mouth has been! I don't know what germs he has! He could have at least used a glass, especially when he doesn't live here. There is a lot more, but it would take me all night to write down! I honestly don't know what Lucy sees in him. |

OH! - Who does the Gazette think they are anyway? My friend would not murder someone! Ladies do not murder people! Ned and his family are good people! How dare the paper imply they would murder their own daughter! What a horrible thing to even consider!! Mr D.I. Watson, I have a couple words for you! Or whoever is running this investigation? If you are suspecting people like them, I can't help but think that maybe you're not doing your job correctly! It makes me so angry. I don't know how you can sleep at night with that on your conscience!
Enough of that though. I am a little worried about this Wednesday. April Fool's is supposed to be a fun day, not Worry About What Brent is Going to Do Day. I am not looking forward to it, and I look forward to everything! Last year he brought me into his office to tell me that I was getting extra vacation time for being a model employee. Of course I believed him, I am a model employee! We even had an entire discussion about some of the places he's visited, and how he was so lucky to find the time to go. He really went out of his way this time - at least in previous years the jokes were not so mean, to me at least. I was quite upset with him when he told me it was just a joke. Actually I'm still upset about it. I will definitely keep an eye out this Wednesday.
This week is not looking good. |

Spring cleaning is my favorite time of year at the office! Actually spring in general is just my favorite time of year! It is very refreshing, winter is such a drag. Everything always looks so pretty outside! And I know that most of what we're doing is just busy work, but sometimes that's easier to do than actual work. But I don't think I can enjoy it as much as I usually do. The service yesterday still has me really down. It's just so awful! I still can't help but feel sorry for that family. It's such a horrible situation. Okay, I need to do something to stop thinking about it. It's putting me in a depressing mood.
Oh! The microwave in the break room needs to be cleaned out, but I was not volunteering myself for that. I'm too busy shredding things, which is surprisingly fun. I wonder what else this thing can shred besides paper. |

I spent the weekend looking up information on spiders. I want to be prepared because being killed by a spider is not the way to go! As it turns out, not a lot of spiders are actually poisonous and apparently most of them are harmless. I don't think this should matter though, and if you ever come across a spider you should definitely KILL it! I don't care if they keep other bugs or flies away, spiders are a lot scarier!
I came across this monster! A giant house spider?! ( cut for picture! ) It's as wide as a dollar bill! It's leg span can get up to four inches! FOUR INCHES! It's bad enough having to looking at the picture! Could you imagine seeing this thing in person?
Spiders are horrifying. |
